[ Nokia Club Bangladesh ] The fraud with rationalism and patriotism - the latest example is the case

The fraud with rationalism and patriotism - the latest example is the case against Jamat leaders in the name of punishing war criminals
The continuation of side-effect of elimination of our brightest sons during 1971 by the collaborators continues till today. The worst example of this we, our educated class, do not hestitate to fraud with partiotism.

What we have been going through during last few decades or so, that must be a dream scenario for the betrayers with Bangladesh. Golam Azam and his gong are the worst example of those collaborators who still weighs power in present day Bangladesh. When they started their killing machine on March 25 night in 1971 that culminated in the December 14 of the same year, they wanted to eliminate the intellectual backbone of the country. Though unfortunate, it seems they got more return of their actions than they might have even thought.

Look at the latest examples.

With the hue and cry for war criminals that was started to embarrass the current interim government, it is shaping up into a new shame. And our competent(!) journalists and analysts - facilitated by our politicians and our current day rulers - have started to create a new shame for the nation.

Someone filed a case against several jamati leaders for alleged killing of freedom fighters. Notice, they allegedly killed "freedom fighters"!

During 1971, it was a liberation war that our earlier generation fought. The people on the right side were "freedom fighters" and the people on the wrong side were "collaborators" of the occupation forces of Paki Army.

It was a armed struggle, where both side engaged in a war to kill one another. In legal terms, killing a declared enemy combatant is not illegal. Killing unarmed people, specifically women and children and elderly constitute war crimes, among many other human rights abuse.

But, killing a combatant fighter from the opposite side during a wartime (between 26 March and 16 December) can not be called crime nor it can be called murder. That is called war time rules. And we are proud that we have fought our liberation war and won it. If somebody dis-honours our freedom fighters who gave their lives to free Bangladesh by filing absurd cases, that is unwarranted. Also, those who are yet to take rightful steps to right this unfornate wrong in our national history, they are also not doing the right thing.

To reiterate, alleging somebody for killing our soldiers as criminal would not stand the court of law. Actually, it will instead be shameful for the soul of our war heros.

If you have some complain of criminal activities by the collaborators, first know what constitute a crime during a war time. Certainly, killing a declared freedom fighter is not a crime. That is war.

This is what happens when corruption takes over reason and rationalism in a soceity. In a garbage can, you will find all kinds of kit-potongo. We had made the soceity like a garbage can, with the leadership of our very able(!) older generation. In that garbage can like soceity, the kit-potongo of jamat was flourishing well - actually flourishing very well. Now that their environment is diminishing quickly, they are afraid. It seems that the powers of darkness in both sides are getting together to maintain the status quo of garbage can like soceity!

So, now that there is a sustained attempt to cleanse the garbage can like soceity, they are in full swing work to make the project a failure. Both of those, who made the soceity a garbage can (i.e. AL and BNP and JP) and who were taking advantage of the garbage can (kit-potongo like Jamat).

They don't even hesitate to make fun with the partriotism, make fun with the honour of our liberation war heros!! Its very unfortunate.

And our current government, they are also not helping. Its true that you did not have this project of trying war criminals in your mind when you started. But that is the burden of doing something good - specifically - if you are in charge of a nation of 150 million people. If your circumstances changes, you have to change your strategy, too.

We previously said that it was always a matter cost-benefit analysis for Awami League when it comes to trying war criminals. These are just rudderless body of goodwill ship. They deserve to be torpedoed - if you do not think that good people will have a control of their rudder. They are not mocking with the honour of war heros. It should not be allowed. If something serious is not done, similar shameful things will continue. This is unwarranted.

If you thought some of the ideas are worth of your reading time, please forward it to others. If you have an ear to the columinsts in regular traditional media, please forward it to them. If you have an ear to the journalists and news editors of the electronic media, discuss it with them. Hope they would look at the suggestions and give due diligence.

Thanks for your time,
Innovation Line
