It's official! Bollywood's young heartthrob Imran Khan is engaged to his sweetheart and longtime girlfriend, Avantika Malik. And although the actor is keen on making the formal announcement only in January, the industry has already raised a toast to the couple.
"Yes it's true. But we're planning to have a proper ceremony later, so right now it's just for us and our families," admitted Imran refusing to reveal the wedding date. But, a source said, "Imran had thrown a surprise party for Avantika on her birthday on July 18, a very private affair, with only very close family and friends present. There he surprised everyone by proposing to Avantika. Amidst much cheering, she accepted."
But Bollywood got whiff of the news last week at Arjun Rampal's nightclub opening in Delhi where Imran and Avantika were spotted. When Arjun found out about the couple's engagement, he doubled the celebration quotient by announcing it. Several Bollywood biggies including Karan Johar who were present congratulated them.
The couple, who've been dating for quite a while now, have always been candid about their relationship and are always seen attending parties and events together. Now that the two have taken their relationship to the next level, when's the wedding?

Asin Unhappy After Seeing London Dreams Trailers

For Asin, her next release after Ghajini is crucial. The promos of her next film, London Dreams, are out and it did not please the southern star, as she is seen in exactly one shot. Asin isn't kicked about the fact that Ajay and Salman feature in it prominently, while she has a blink-and-miss appearance.
Apparently, Asin spoke to Vipul Shah about this as she was upset. A source said, "When Asin learnt that she was hardly a part of the first theatrical promo of the film, she spoke to Vipul. Asin is very eager to see the response of the audience, especially since this will be her first release after Ghajini which was the biggest hit of last year. However, she was very disappointed with the promos. Vipul explained to her that since it is the story of two friends, he needed to have more of Salman and Ajay in the first promo. However, Asin was far from convinced and is sulking."
Vipul Shah hopes that Asin comes around after seeing the other promos as he says he is not trying to sideline her. He said, "All I want to say is that this is just the first teaser of the film. Please don't be in a hurry to judge anybody's importance and let me say clearly that Asin is a very important part of my film. Let some other promos release and everything will be fine. I am aware that this is Asin's first release after Ghajini and the expectations are huge. Let me assure everybody, especially fans of Asin, that they won't be disappointed."
Asin remained unavailable for comment.

The last few months have been very hard on Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao. They have been overcoming the loss of their first unborn child. The actor, who has been away from Bollywood action, has been spending ample time with Kiran.
"Kiran and I are away from home, in one very quiet spot, just lying in and resting. Reading, going for walks, watching films…There are so many films to see, and books to read. One life time is not enough. Books, I read, but films I never get down to seeing," Aamir wrote on his blog.
The actor admitted that he's not been watching films in the last few years despite the fact that he loves cinema.
"Strange, since, I love cinema so much. It's not as if I don't enjoying watching films. I really do, in fact when I watch a film I forget to blink and my eyes start hurting after a while. But for someone who is so steeped in films I have watched pathetically few films in all these years," he wrote.
About his own upcoming film 3 Idiots, Aamir wrote: 'Vinod (producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra) and Raju (director Raj Kumar Hirani) tell me that the post production on '3 Idiots' is progressing well – so by the time I get back, the cut (final product) will be ready. This means I can confirm to all those of you who have been repeatedly asking… yes, '3 Idiots' will be releasing on Christmas this year. I'll see the cut once I get back," he blogged.
Interestingly, it would be third year in a row when Aamir's film would release on Christmas. His Taare Zameen Par released on X-mas in 2007, Ghajini on X-mas in 2008 and now '3 Idiots' this year.

Katrina Kaif is adored by one and all for her gorgeousness but the latest buzz suggests that the glam-doll has undergone a lip surgery to make them fuller.
A source says, "Katrina has always wanted shapelier lips. She recently returned from a long holiday almost three weeks. During her trip to the USA for the Independence Day parade in Houston and Chicago, everyone first noticed the marked change in her appearance. Her lips were still puffy at the time, but now the swelling has vanished."
However, refuting all such claims, Katrina said, "It`s not true. I have not had any work done on my lips and to say that is ridiculous."
Also, a source close to Katrina said, "She can`t afford to take any medication right now as she`s on a very strong medication for her skin. The medicine is so strong that Katrina can`t take any other medicine during this time."
The source also mentioned that it is nothing but the medication that gives rise to swollen, dry and chapped lips, which apparently gives the impression as if she has done something to her lips.
Well, we hope she hasn't done anything to her natural beauty as her fans already lure for how she is!

Farah Wants to End Salman-SRK War

Farah Khan, who is a common friend of Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, wants to play the peacemaker between the two actors. The choreographer-turned-director, believes that the fight between the actors is getting longer.
"I wish I could bridge the gap. I love both of them. It's (the fight) getting longer now," Farah told PTI.
Farah, who has turned a chat with 'Tere Mere Beach Mein' had Salman Khan and his mother as her first celebrity guests while she is planning to bring Shah Rukh in the final episode.
"Since Salman had never come on a chat show before and was very candid during the show, we made him the first guest. But Shah Rukh will be the last one to keep the audience hooked till the end," she says.
The two Khans of Bollywood have not been on talking terms since last year, with both taking regular digs at each other in public, after a fight at the birthday party of Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif.
Interestingly, Shah Rukh owned Red Chillies is one of the producers of the show.
Salman and Shah Rukh shared friendly relations in the industry and they even starred together in the 1995 hit movie 'Karan Arjun'
