Prime minister Sheikh Hasina departs for Egypt on Tuesday to attend the Non-Aligned Movement summit.
A special flight, departing in the morning, will take the prime minister and 49 other officials to the Egyptian resort city of Sharm-el-Sheikh.
Foreign minister Dipu Moni is already in Egypt attending a meeting of NAM foreign ministers.
Hasina is expected to meet her India counterpart, Manmohan Singh, as well as other heads of state and government, her press secretary Abul Kalam Azad told bdnews24.com Monday.
Media outlets in Bangladesh have recently speculated on a possible sideline meeting between Hasina and Singh regarding the controversial Tipaimukh dam project.
